[SOLVED] Avatar resizing?

Recommended Posts

I've been tossing this question around for about a week but now I feel like I've tried everything. When I add a new picture, MH insists it's too large even though it's well below the maximum kb size. It won't accept anything until I resize it down to something like 200x200 and even then they show up even smaller.

I've tried importing by URL which seems to have normal size requirements like before, but it still only appears in this little thumbnail size. I'm just not really sure if I should stop trying lol

Double checked, and mine is showing at 76x150

The dimensions for your profile picture can be no larger than 200 x 300. Resize your image so that the height is no larger than 300 and it should work.

It's the same one I currently have, here is the URL I was trying to use

(sorry have to type it out because MH still wont let me copy and paste)

http://oi57.tinypic.com/2cmwx14.jpg  (250x494)

I know for a fact my previous one was 600+ tall

what @Zeus says is true.

Here's a natural resizing of that picture

152 x 300

I've taken the liberty of cropping a bit of the original pic in order to maximize the avatar space:

198 x 300

Either one should work!

Fuck, I went and used the resized version 199x300

and it's STILL showing up at 100x150...

EDIT: Yeah I tried the uncropped on too and no change...

I still don't get why my old avatar worked, I just checked the dimensions

(336x638) << I had it for a long time

Thanks for the help guys but I gotta go to work now, hopefully someday it makes sense lol!

lol. I don't get this either. Usually, an avatar will automatically be resized to a proper resolution as long as the file size does not exceed the limit.

This is probably a rare case. xD

For some strange reason, you were not in the "Member" group @Elazmus. This was why your avatar was resizing on it's own. I have fixed it and uploaded your avatar for you. If anyone else is having these problems, contact either myself or nostalgia. and we will fix your permissions.
