Okay, here's the thing. It seems that there are still a lot (most?) of the people waiting for their full shipping quotes being sent to them, let alone the merchandise itself. Which is pretty annoying, since people already paid for part of their order. It's been a month since the second stream now, and even if other things got in the way it's simply not good business to leave your customers in the dark for so long. Since we as a forum are giving you a platform to do your business I feel compelled to ask: Are you already sending out shipping quotes and/or packages with items from the last stream? Is there an ETA when you will send out the remaining shipping quotes and packages? Can costumers cancel their orders and ask for a refund if they don't want to wait any longer?

    #37: Royz - The Beginning

Artist: Royz Single: THE BEGINNING 1. THE BEGINNING 2. 0 3. umbrella. 4. THE BEGINNING (ins.) 5. 0 (ins.) 6. umbrella. (ins.) Rating: | The beginning of something good. Knowing very little about Royz before the release of this single, I had precious little by which to gauge my excitement. I had listened to their album, "Core," back in October and thought it was decent and showed promise. Then their single, "Supernova," and it's B-side, "Alive," really blew me away. So, I guess one could say that I was pretty excited even though I wouldn't consider myself a big fan of the band. Recently, the influences of the electronic genre have pervaded almost every visual rock band in the scene and it's been a pretty divisive issue. Nonetheless, if a band blends the perfect amount of hard rock with their electronic beats, I'm going to be a fan. "The Beginning" is an interesting one, for sure. It's quite different from not only other Royz songs, but from a lot of modern pop/rock-esque songs. It blends together a few different genres to ultimately come up with one of the catchiest rock songs of 2015 so far. This band tends to work exceedingly well as a machine of fun, post-hardcore numbers with incredible rhythm and "The Beginning" is no exception. The one possible downfall of the song is the awkward-to-annoying introduction, but once that chorus hits, you will forget about any prior mess. Oftentimes, the B-Sides make or break the single. If you didn't enjoy the song the band is promoting, well here's something else to make you feel better. For instance, "Alive" was much better than "Supernova." On this single, the B-sides were great compliments to a great promotional single. "0" was along the same lines as most of their recent work: uplifting, fun to sing along to, and great to just lose yourself in. "Umbrella" was a bit more subdued than the previous two songs. Mid-tempo ballad range, to be exact. Subaru's voice really carries well in this song, especially the chorus, where he displays a lot of personal emotion. One of their better composed and arranged tracks. The final track, "Heil," is exactly what I thought it would be. Heavy, fast-paced, and hard-hitting. The beat is incredible and the energy isn't misplaced at all. The only true con of this number is that the melodies Subaru has created aren't exactly strong. It works with the nature of the song, but he's definitely done better. All in all, I feel like if you want to check out this band and haven't already, I would start with their album "Core" and work from there like I did. It sets up expectations for their career in a much more realistic way. Support the band! Purchase Type A here Purchase Type B here Purchase Type C here Purchase Type D here

Oh wow okay... let me take this one thing at a time here and try to address everyone's concerns. First and foremost, we would like to apologize for the way that things from this stream was handled. As was mentioned a few times(but maybe not publicly?), right after the stream finished, some huge things came up life-wise. A friend of ours was getting kicked out of their apartment and we had agreed to let him stay here for a while, but doing so required us to literally rearrange the whole apartment. This was on top of Val starting her new job, so to say the least, our free time was stretched REALLY thin. We tried to get as many orders ready as we could within the free time that we had, but it wasn't nearly enough. Now we're not going to blame this all on external issues, of course. The way this stream was done wasn't handled very properly and we suppose that deserves to be explained. For each CD that sells, we make a rip first so that if there are any issues with the CDs, as most are used, then we could contact the buyer and arrange for a refund. We greatly underestimated the response that this last stream would garner and there ended up being nearly 400 items sold. That's 400 items to rip, replace cases where needed and pack up... let alone the vast amount of time that is added when ripping and encoding cassettes/VHS are thrown into the mix. All of that on top of running out of shipping supplies and needing to reorder at the last minute has made this whole thing a nightmare for everyone involved. That being said, many of the things that were taking up our time have been dealt with now, so we can dedicate all of our free time to taking care of the remaining orders. As it stands right now: there are 12 packages ready to go, so a large majority of the shipping quotes will be sent out today. We'll continue working on the remaining orders after that, so the rest of the invoices should be sent out by tomorrow or the day after at the latest. Again: we deeply regret all of the issues that have come about with the recent stream. If we do another stream in the future, the whole thing will be restructured so that all of the work is done before the stream and the items are ready to pack up immediately afterwards.

Coll:Set [3] for reasons stated above. Best balance of their old and new musical directions. Although, I really like Sexual Beast (mini). They really nailed the goth, industrial metal sound with it (and they even use a little bit of dark wave on 0216/Valentine). I also enjoyed their first single 蜘蛛 (Kumo) (single). It's really different than their later material, but if you like 90's era vkei rock it's pretty solid. You should definitely check out 檻の中で見る夢 (Ori no naka de miru yume) (single) for Animal Mania. It's one of their most fun tracks. Born is a good digest mini-album that consists of their best tracks from Terrors (mini) and MaVERiCK (single). The conversation transition is awesome and adds a lot of creepy atmosphere. And, Hizumi's voice is nnnnnnice. From their post-Coll:Set material I personally recommend all of 凍える夜に咲いた花 (Kogoeru yoru ni saita hana) (single) [2]. PIG is a great throwback to their goth/industrial style with a more poppy chorus. Scissors from Kamikaze (single) is pretty good too. Man, I'm beginning to remember how much I miss them T.T

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I hope this will put some minds at ease. I can understand that other things may get in the way, but it was the lack of official communications that irked me and other people I talked to. I received my last invoice on 5/11 and paid pretty much within hours after that, yet I hadn't gotten any sort of update until today, and it seems I wasn't the only one. Anyway, thanks for the clarification and I hope things will work out better again in the future. After all my first couple of orders from Rarezhut went pretty smooth.

Okay, first time going through a BNT post and I’m glad that I did! @Peace Heavy mk II, SO happy a DEZERT song made the cut. The first two 包丁の正しい使い方 songs are incredible, though I think the second one is my favourite. But the first one was a better choice for people who still haven't heard the band. My only gripe with the compilation is that it didn't include 変 and 異常な階段. Oh, well... The Pentagon track was pretty good, too. @beni, I haven't formally listened to the Chanty album yet, but I think I would have chosen the first song, since the song alone is making me want to give this band a try. On another note, one thing about this band that really stood out to me was the fact that they didn't tack on some intro "S.E." track to the beginning of the album like almost every VK band does these days. , great choice on the Develop One's Faculties track. I really like this band's style, but a lot their other songs don't seem as engaging. Not much else to say since this is only their second single. Definitely trying out the LOTUS and VERY BERRY releases; possibly odol as well. @fitear1590, I might try the Mediena single 'cause I love the Valluna homage, though I'm really hoping there are better tracks. I think the original Valluna song is better that the Mediena song it inspired... @CAT5, role mini album is going on my Bandcamp wishlist. Downloading that dessin the world compilation right now! That 16REASONS song is great! @Zeus, Goddamn, I need to dive into Boris more. I have their album Noise, but I’ve only heard Angel (in a shuffle last summer). “Surrender” sounds really cool, though! Guess I’ll go download those three new albums, now. It was very, very difficult lol. I love all the songs on the mini album. I was really considering choosing おやすみなさい as well, it's a very beautiful song, and it is slower, but 午前二時 is more energetic and it seems quite different from other songs that eve has composed for this band.

Seriously, these guys know how to deliver addictive songs. I wasn't hyped by the previews but dammit, the whole songs are fantastic, I just want to put on repeat. I still have a personal preference for Supernova/ALIVE tho. If they keep going with this pace, the next album will be a 100% must-have. Well done.

    BAROQUE - PLANETARY SECRET

Is it the same Baroque that many fans have came to love? Not exactly, it`s a turn in another direction, it isn`t the same line-up, it isn`t the same sound, and it would not fit in with their early discography. Okay, they changed, but will I still be able to enjoy it; are they still `good`? They have definitely dialed in and delivered what they were going for, but let`s be honest, there may be little or no correlation between their early work and this. The interest will not rely on being a long-time fan so much as it will rely on you simply also being able to enjoy their new sound. From a technical standpoint, the vocals and guitar are at a higher level than their early work, though again, the style is different. So what`s the new sound? It`s atmospheric, it`s wide, it`s meditative at times, `uplifting` at other times, and tightly tied together. The guitar and vocals are the center-piece, and they really play well together, like brothers. At first the other instruments may seem just like a backing band, but everything they do eventually began to hold more value for me. If you wanted to compare them to someone, you could loosely compare some of their sounds to bands such as U2, and certain tracks by The Who, amongst others who stemmed from that, but with their own, more modern, take on those sounds. The production is also very nice, the sound is spread out, every detail is nailed down, and it is a pleasure to listen to how each instrument is covered. So do they come off as a copy of other, already established sounds? That`s going to come down to your own opinion, but I definitely feel as if they have done enough to establish themselves as having their own complete spin on these sounds. But I think, obviously, some people will not be getting enough of what they call Baroque on this album. Okay, okay, it sounds pretty mellow, can I still rock to it? It isn`t as rocking as other things they have done, though, while I definitely gravitate to a more intense rock sound, this album can hold my attention. The first tracks come off with lighter guitar, but I eventually get a refreshed feeling as SWALLOW THE NIGHT hits a harder guitar part, and the album picks up a little more. There`s also a nice solo in the final track, MEMENTO. So are these the stand-out tracks? Yes, SWALLOW THE NIGHT, MEMENTO, and PLANETARY LIGHT are my personal favorites. Alright, so please sum up your thoughts on the album as a whole. It`s very well done, the vocal effects are not overdone, though some may have preferred a clean feel. They play amazingly together, they have refined a new sound in a very short amount of time, and the album contains a great amount of variety, while staying unified, and giving off a tight, concept-album feel. However, it is bound to have a hit-and-or-miss reaction with many fans, new as well as old. The band has changed a lot, and not everyone is going to like the sound. I personally, as a long-time fan, also enjoy this sound, and can go back to their older tracks whenever I want to revisit those days. This is not my usual style of music, however I grew to like it, and appreciate each track more with each listen. It`s an atmospheric album that isn`t limited to certain moods or listening hours for me, and retains strong guitar elements that enable me to really keep listening over and over again. Track Count: 9 Listens: 20 Production Quality: Overall Rating: Worth the Purchase? It`s not going to be something instantly worth buying for all Baroque fans. The best thing to do is to listen to the preview, and see if you enjoy what you hear from it, and know that the songs themselves offer more than just what the preview holds. Personally, the preview didn`t do justice to the album for me. If you enjoy the sound, or feel like you could get into it, I definitely recommend it.

I'm so happy people seem to like DOF's music so far. It is hard to say since, like you said, they only have a couple of singles released so far but I really liked how this song was different that the others. And while I enjoy the other songs quite a lot, they can kind of blend into each other and that can surely get monotonous. Good luck with the other releases! I recommend that odol album most of all.

Wow the new version of Imperial Concerto is absolutely phenomenal!! I'm looking forward to those three new tracks the most, but I bet the re-recordings are going to be all very well done too. And apparently there's a new remixed version of Fuyu Tokyo on one or the other that's supposed to be extremely dance-oriented. And I cannot wait.

Please. My rent is about 1400€ monthly (and rising), and I have a rather small apartment, and that's not on top of the food and transportation costs it takes to get places. NYC has some rent stabilized apartments which is very similar to this, but we don't have an outright rent cap. We need one too. You know it's bad when 75% of most of your friend's pay goes towards food and shelter, and some of your other friends are approaching 30 and still living with mom and dad because the rent is too damn high and the pay is too damn low.

How well can you hear audio quality?

I first did it with my logitech speakers and here's the result I then did it with my headphones on, and got only 3/6 but never made a mistake between 128 and 320 so I guess it's ok, the amount of uncompressed rips you can find mostly depends on the quality of your speakers/headphones, and depends also if you pay attention to details or not, plus if you like/love the song you can easily find the good and the bad rip. Well 3/6 with headphones is not bad Also the song that have been chosen just show the variety of music you can listen to nowadays, at least a part of it. Nice test, people should try it and give us a screen of the results + what they used to do it
