I'm not a furry but one of my best friends is. I feel bad because when I was a teenager I used to be one of those edgy "furries suck lolol" people but now I'm an adult and tbh furries are the LEAST of my worries when it comes to the absolute state of people on the internet now. I've come to appreciate furries, in a way. As someone who draws a lot but has trouble making up my own characters, I respect the whole process of creating OCs/fursonas and making costumes for them.

What comes to mind instantly when I think of fave PVs is the indie version of Melty Love by Shazna. Idk, its just really fun and bouncy and.... kind of hypnotic? Makes me nostalgic for a time and place I wasn't even around for.

I personally got into k-pop back in 2010. Was obsessed with SHINee and SNSD and whoever was big at the time. The older I got, the more I heard about the industry, what the idols are put through and I lost interest in the genre. I would only really keep up with Jonghyun because he was one of my favorite pop artists in general. I think his death, along with those of Sulli's and Goo Hara, really made me legit DESPISE the genre and the industry behind it. These days, I don't have anything against the artists or their songs. Idgaf about mindless fun pop music as long as the messages aren't harmful. It's just the industry makes me feel sick. Plus the fans never learn. Every time a K-pop celebrity dies from suicide, they cry on twitter about it (nothing wrong with that) but then the next week they go back to bullying each other and other k-pop idols, saying truly heinous shit. They should just stick to liking the music and trolling Trump.

I've recently ordered some chekis and I'm looking at different ways of storing/displaying them. I found these really cute ones on eBay but they're super expensive :') If anyone knows where to get keychains that holds chekis, pls let me know. Anyway....where do you personally store your chekis? Frames, keychains, photo albums? Just thrown in a box somewhere? If anyone is willing to share a pic of their cheki holder it would be greatly appreciated. Your own pic or an internet pic from wherever you got it from is fine I'm just looking for ideas on where to keep mine.

Idk if they're gonna stream it or not but I hope they do. Or one of those random Kyuho/Juho Q&A streams would be nice at the very least 🤞😫

From under reporting numbers? I think pretty much all countries are under reporting due to the lack of testing, not just Japan. I’m from America and I know for a fact that we have waaaay more cases than we’re seeing reported because we aren’t testing. In Japan’s case, I wouldn’t be surprised if the olympics (and work culture over there in general) had a hand in the hesitance to test. The less you test, the less confirmed cases you have. With less confirmed cases, people feel less likely to get the virus so they carry on as usual.

I hate sounding like a conspiracy theorist but I honestly feel like numbers are/were being under reported. Plus Japan hasn't been testing as much as China and South Korea. It's really irresponsible considering how old Japan's population is... Not enough measures being taken and the measures that have been taken are infuriating i.e the whole "two masks for every family" debacle.

As weird as it sounds, I think the events in my life led up to me discovering and falling in love with VK. My mom raised us on 90s rock, I idolized my big sis who was a mall goth circa 2004, my older cousin introduced me to 2007 weeb youtube. It was only a matter of time tbh. So when I found out about VK (probably from stumbling on a pic of Bou lmao) I was like fuck this is everything I like all rolled into one concept. Loud, upbeat/ heavy music combined with OOT looks and makeup. A good chunk of why I like VK is the nostalgia factor. It got me through some pretty stressful times as a kid who was bullied and felt super isolated. I got an iPod nano for christmas in sixth grade and you bet that shit was FILLED with visual kei music ripped from those youtube to mp3 sites. I also used to print out pics of my fave bandomen and put them on my binder 😅 A lot of my classmates would ask about them so I was able to make friends that way. Just brings back a lot of fond memories. Also I dig the way bassists are a lil more appreciated compared to Western rock. As a failed, shitty bassist, I love actually getting to hear the bass in the song. We stan a good rhythm section.

After being a longtime lurker, I decided to make an account. I've been a VK fan since around 2008, when I was 11. I kinda got out of it for a while but recently got back in after rediscovering all the music I listened to when I was a kid. Some of my faves are the Gazette, BUCK-TICK, Lareine, Versailles, Kamijo, Malice Mizer, early 90s LUNA SEA, cali gari, etc etc. I'm also a huge sucker for that old school Key Party aesthetic. Nice to finally be a member here. Thank you all for the laughs you've given me since I discovered this forum one fateful morning whilst looking for bandomen tea 🙏
