Youtube, and pretty every other social media platform are in cahoots with a lot of these special interest groups too. I've seen Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook pretty much erase the existence of certain, popular content providers over the most bogus of claims this past year....people that were providing actual, quality content, but censored because their narratives didn't match the ones being pushed.

I could totally feel ya!
I've been following MEJIBRAY from the very beginning and they made such great music from the start~ but probably due short-time in producing new music (like every 3-month a new release~~ as their music went a little downhill starting from 2015 after the mini-album VENOMS.app) they probably all had too much pressure as their music quality greatly changed and it kinda felt very forced. Also Genki & Koichi's contract didn't got renewed so since then they went on hiatus thought it feels like disbanded.
Honestly I don't like 8P-SB, I expected way better and even forcing myself to listen to them ain't working for me. But Genki's solo-work is not bad, it's worth to listen  

I've only followed Koudai for a while, and just today I followed Junu
I actually don't interact much on instagram, only on twitter but usually they ignore everything so this was a surprise

You follow them? You liked any of their stuff? I don't know which band they belong to, but yeah, bandomen seem to lurge around everywhere sometimes

I remember that i thought at first also they are a visual kei group. Beside the visual kei connections from some band members i think the main reason comes from them wearing costumes on stage, then their bassist asa crossdresses often, it comes easy to someones mind they could be visual kei.  There is a high chance that the vk refusal had to do with them being a major band like Himeaimichu stated. (They was contracted to avex)
Also Machiya is Machiya in Waggaki Band but Shin Oumura(its his real name) in m:a.ture and his solo stuff. 

Their Taiko drummer, Shakuhachi player and guitarist do have Vkei cred. Kurona and Daisuke played together in CrowXClass, which did call themselves Visual Kei. Machiya (I heard he goes by Omura now?) Used to be in some Vkei bands before starting m:a.ture, which Wajow from The Gallo was also in.
 
I think the main reason they're not considered Visual Kei is just music industry stuff. A lot of Vkei artists are inclined to deny being Vkei because of the image Vkei has. 
I would say that unlike other "semi-visual" (as I call them) bands, such as Unlucky Morpheus, Wagakki really tries to just sell itself as mainstream J-Rock. Afaik, they haven't really put anything Metal out in years, and whatever Vkei looks they were serving, they aren't really anymore.
