plastic_rainbow got a reaction from reminiscing2004 in [Lyrics] 華族(Kazoku) kanji/romaji/english
I highly doubt anyone will translate Kazoku's lyrics anymore so I'll use this topic to post any translations I make for them. I remember seeing translations for Ukigumo and Rettou hoshi once in the past but can't seem to find Rettou hoshi online anymore. In any case, here are some of my translations for their songs~ I'll continue to post in this topic as I make new translations. I do hope to go through most of their discography sometime~
Rettou hoshi.
Akai hana, tou no kai
I'm always open for any corrections and suggestions!
Check my lyric blog for more of my translations.
Thanks for looking! ^^

plastic_rainbow reacted to platy in Single People Thread
So now that I'm in the singles club, decided to browse tinder. Not my first experience with it, but there's a weird trend I've been noticing on dating apps (and this goes for even queer dating apps)
Why are yall describing yourself as 'borderline alcoholic' and 'crackhead' on your profile?
Or outright saying 'I've got a ton of issues' 'Depressed bitch' 'Looking for someone with mommy issues'
I know we all have problems in this day and age but why are you giving me a list of all your mental/physical illnesses before I even say hi. And describing Ted Mosby as your spirit animal?
I actually have to type this profile out cuz this shit is unbelievable
Scott, 26
I like to keep a gun under my pillow so incase of a burglary I'm able to shoot myself to avoid social interaction with another human being
jfc, either I'm too old for this or the world has gone insane. Impossible to swipe right on anyone, yall suck at selling yourself. It makes me even appreciate the simplicity of that one guy whose profile just said "we go to pub and then we fuck."
Anyway after spending one evening on it and losing a trillion brain cells
Time to get back to my collection of husbandos and waifus, I am not looking to deal with other people's bullshit
(I'm actually having fun being a full time weeb again and frustrations aside, enjoying my time alone)

plastic_rainbow reacted to platy in DADAROMA: Beyond Oboreru Sakana
After going through Dadaroma's discography, it hit me. People, myself included, always cry whenever they release something that is not Oboreru Sakana. The thing is, there are more than enough solid songs in their discography if you are willing to look past the Masturbations and Pornographs.
I've gathered a few that stand out to me the most and I hope these will ease your yearning for fishy metal.
白いゼラニウム (THIS IS "LIVE")
lol I can't embed the youtube video for some reason, so here's a great cover instead
Morphine#3 (Dadaism#2)
私、バンギャじゃないわ (dadaism #3) @The Reverend
(I'm not a bangya)
ブリキ (夢タラレバ) @plastic_rainbow
Buriki (Yume Tarareba)
汚れる前に私を抱いて「僕はアンドロイド」 @plastic_rainbow
Yogoreru mae ni watashi o daite (Boku wa Android)
2017 年 7 月 21 日の日記 2017 (いいくすりと、わるいくすり) @tetsu_sama69
2017 nen 7 Tsuki 21 Nichi no Nikki ( Ii Kusuri to, Warui Kusuri)
愁いリビドー (雨のワルツ) @tetsu_sama69
Urei Libido (Ame no Waltz)
LUCID DREAM (dadaism#2)
What are some of your favorites? Any that didn't make the list? DADAROMA has now disbanded and it was a highlight of 2020 for me being able to attend their last live with some folks from MH via youtube. Let's celebrate their life in the comments whether you're a fan or not!

A whole lotl axolotl. This is a continuation of my planet series. The sprouty pink planet represents my love for Japanese sweet potatoes. And also in my love an axolotl there is too 🍠

Back with another drawing. I've always wanted to draw a desert landscape so this is my take on it. I started this one last year and then went into a slump. Finally overcame my laziness and finished it.

plastic_rainbow got a reaction from platy in What do you do when you're sad?
A year ago, heck maybe even a few months ago, I might've said something edgy like "listening to sad music", but nah I'm doing better now (trying to anyway). I try to focus on things that make me happy and surround myself with things that make me happy. It can be anything, no matter how silly other people may think it is. And it really might sound silly because right now I'm addicted to plushies and cute/pretty things that brighten up my day. I want to surround myself in them, and I also want to try planting flowers in my apartment/patio when it gets warmer. I lived in my parent's basement for about a year and half before moving into my current apartment. The ceiling was warping, there were mice inside the walls, half the room was storage for my family, and seeing a bug (sometimes dead) was a common occurrence. I'm happy I got out of there. I mean, I've had other things in the past that f'ed me up, but that living experience was rather awful (honestly, living at my parent's was always awful). Ofc, I will still cry sometimes depending on what I'm sad about, but right now buying things for my new apartment and building a comfy living space makes me really happy. 😊
Also, cutting toxic and abusive people out of your life is really important, if you can. They will drain you and deteriorate your health horribly, especially when you're at your low. If you cannot cut them off, set your boundaries and distance yourself from them as much as you can. Hold on to those who care about you and who will support you in everything you do because you can only do so much on your own. Some people might think they can take care of themselves on their own, but the truth is, sometimes we all need a little help and support from others and that's okay! If you don't have anyone, you will find them someday! I don't know if I consider anyone IRL as someone like that, one of them lives faraway, and I have another friend in town but I think I made it uncomfortable for her several times when I was really down and broken, and I feel bad about that........but as I said before, I'm trying to do better. I do love all of my online friends tho and am happy to have them! ❤️ Please take good care of yourself!

plastic_rainbow reacted to Kabukichoatmidnight in What do you do when you're sad?
Man this is such a deep topic with a complicated and non-straight forward answer as everyone will cope differently. But I guess from my experience the only way to pick yourself back up if things are that bad is to go for a bit of a change of lifestyle. Like make big changes, not saying dress differently or change your music taste but more like, think about your job/studies, the area you live in, your social activities, the people you hang out with etc.... are all these things satisfying for you? Do you need a change of scenery? Or even just an adventure somewhere completely new, meet some new people etc?? Even if just on a vacation or whatever. I guess basically it's a case of, if what you're doing isn't making you any happier you need to switch things up until you do feel better. Like I wont go into my own situation too deep as that would take forever but one example I have is quitting drinking made me feel a lot better, not getting into the same dumb situations, not hanging out with people who weren't healthy for me to be around and mainly that not drinking just made me feel a lot healthier in general, not feeling so damn tired all the time and never going to miss those hangovers. So that was one thing I changed that showed clear positive improvements. So figure out what works for you and go with it, isn't an easy road but determination can take you there!

plastic_rainbow reacted to CAT5 in random thoughts thread
Seeing how careless people are in their relationships and just how careless and selfish ppl are encouraged by this culture to be....it's pretty disheartening. Ppl wanna have these ideal relationships, but they don't wanna put in the work. They'll cash in somebody for another, as soon as that person doesn't fulfill them in some way. Somebody said recently, "if you ain't willing to struggle with somebody, then you ain't never gonna have it", and that was some real-ass shit. Too many ppl are expecting perfection from others, but are unwilling to cope with the fact that they themselves are imperfect. The best thing I think you can ask for relationship-wise is simply somebody you can work with...somebody you can build with. Cuz contrary to what ppl want to believe, everybody on earth is fucked up in some way. Social media will have folks believing that there are ppl walking around here that are 100% perfect and "healed", which is the buzzword they like to use. Nah, errbody fucked up and struggling with something or some "things". Thus is life. But it's that very expectation of perfection that stifles true love. Folks will tell you they love you all day, but when shit gets rough...when shit gets difficult - that's the time to put that love into action. If you ain't never had to practice patience, understanding, or forgiveness with someone, how can you claim to love them?
That disney shit got ppl fucked up....love ain't an emotion. It's an action. It's a function. If your "love" is based on emotion, then you don't have a house built on a sturdy foundation, you have a sand castle that's gonna be blown away by the very next wind. Building something strong and beautiful, like the Cedars of Lebanon, takes time and patience...you gotta grow roots first.
