Thanks for all the amusing input. I don't know why but I'm impressed by Jackie Chan, the music isn't anything inventive, but I appreciate that he sings in English, Chinese and Japanese. Doing the multi-lingual hustle long before any k-pop bois.
 
I thought Vin Diesel had released that song years ago, but turns out it was last month?! What pushed him to do this.

Andy Lau has about  a billion albums, just like a billion other Asian actors and actresses. So in his case, and Jackie Chan etc, it's not as unusual as it in certain times have been incredibly popular to work this way.
 
 
I haven't heard everything he's ever done, but this song is just beyond fantastic. 
 
 
Meiko Kaji is another one. She is easily among my all time favourite actors, and she's released some incredible music as well. In fact she's a personal favourite of mine. Quentin Tarantino used two of her songs in Kill Bill, Shura no Hana and Urami Bushi.
 
 

I discovered today that Troy Baker, Robert Downey Jr and Ryan Gosling all have released albums at some point in their career.
 
If anything, I hope this entertains you at least a little. Robert Downey Jr. is the worst one I found so far.

@Gesu your early 20s do be like that. Start by filling your time in between job applications with volunteering, at least your CV won't be empty and it'll keep your mind busy. Opportunities are ripe atm with vulnerable elderly being unable to work at charity shops, for example. It'll give you experience dealing with people and it'll give you a reference you can call on for future jobs. Then, like mentioned above, take what you can because any foot in the door is a positive step towards getting smth better. 
 

@Gesu This may vary depending on where you live or your situation, but if you're struggling financially and need the income I'd say lower your standards and take whatever job you can. Even if you're not, your first job most likely won't be anything worth staying at anyway. All my past jobs have pretty much been crap, with my first job at some food manufacturer right when I got out of high school. I've also done dishwashing, housekeeping, and a custodian job to name a few....If you don't mind customer service/talking to people you may have more options. My current job is not even something I'm entirely proud of, but it's one of the better jobs I've had that helps pay the bills/school tuition, and gives me a flexible enough schedule to work on things on the side. If you can't get a job because you need 'experience' you could also try volunteering to build some. Anyway, like ghost said, it's tough, but I wish you the best of luck!

Job searching is never easy. Anytime I've switched jobs I've had to apply to nearly 100 and I might get a reply back from 1-4 places give or take. It gets easier as you gain more experience, but that first step is hard. Honestly, job hunting still makes me uneasy after all these years.

It's tough finding someone who believes in you, but you just need one person or group who sees your potential. I'm not sure what field you're trying to get into but you just gotta keep building your skills however you can. Most importantly, don't be afraid to ask for help wherever you can find it. No one makes it alone and there's no shame in seeking help.

It's tough out there but keep your chin up. Stay positive!

I can't stand being twenty and never having had a paid job in my life. I've been looking for an apprenticeship lately cuz I thought that might be a bit easier to find than a proper job for the time being but of course, they either don't get back to you if you apply or they require you to have prior experience (which is fucking ridiculous because the whole point of an apprenticeship is to get trained in sth while making some money, as opposed to being fully qualified). My family keep telling me not to feel bad but it's difficult not to when I remember people in high school who weren't even adults who could somehow juggle school work and paid work (bear in mind I went to a hardass high school and it was difficult to even juggle school work with leisure time). It just makes me feel super inadequate and I feel like I'm gonna be on benefits for the rest of my life. Sometimes I consider just forgetting work altogether and trying to become an artist or singer or whatever so I don't have to go through getting rejected/not hearing back from an employer again but I know that wouldn't be sensible. The stagnation is making my insomnia worse to the point where I'll get a good night's sleep maybe once a month. Given how fucked 2020's been in general, I doubt it's gonna get any easier from here.
