Jigsaw9 got a reaction from suji in So uhm, System of A Down is back? With new music????
@ghost Just 5 minutes after I posted my comment I read these were actually intended to be Scars on Broadway tracks, haha... so something like that, yeah.

Yeah, it's a far cry from their old music. For what it is though I'm enjoying it. The heavier parts are giving me S/T flashbacks somewhat and I think the lyrics are pretty catchy. I think I'm just glad to hear the four of them release something. If anything, it's more just a nostalgia kick for me.
@Jigsaw9 I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what happened. The drummer has been saying that he had like 30 or whatever demos ready to go and that they just needed Serj.

I appreciate the sentiment behind (putting aside immense personal differences and getting together to record, but I assume it was more a case of "oh hey I have this instrumental demo lying around, and oh hey you have one too" and) releasing music with some kind of message but these songs sound so incredibly dull and lifeless.

Jigsaw9 got a reaction from Elazmus in PLASTICZOOMS with the only cool halloween track I've noticed this month!
Cool song and video indeed! I feel like it's a bit of a return to their old style (from the beginning years of the band), i.e. I welcome it.

Oh wow, with all the retro stuff making a come back recently I'm not surprised something liek this exists... but also even if it wasn't making a come back, this is really cool. Honestly I trhink the price isn't that bad for such a unique item either. Looks like they had a portable cassette tape player too for around $50. But <$300 for this isn't too bad. I can't afford it, but hoping you get your hands on one.

Raphael probably.

Jigsaw9 got a reaction from reminiscing2004 in Weirdest / most experimental / avantgarde VK band or release? What do you guys think?
Pretty sure that one indies-vk band who just did plain noise/industrial ambient stuff takes the cake, but dammit I can't remember their name now, lol (it was some usual French-like vk name & they did a photoshoot against a black backdrop and they possibly all had red hair, that's all I can gather from memory). Also Blam Honey probably.
edit: found them, it was Medue'obscur. Also nowhere near as unusual as I thought, lol.

BLOOD was pretty well-known in the overseas vk community at the time they were active I think (they even toured abroad a few times)... but other than that idk any newer bands with that level of "relevance" (if you can call it that, heh).
