Though, in my case, we also suspect a gastro-intestinal issue on top of the connective tissue disorder, but this is the wrong thread for that kind of discussion lmao. I think everyone who can't gain weight should really try to see if they have any health issues, because lots of people go their whole lives with what can be a pretty debilitating disability and never know it. I did and the doctor said I had an overactive thyroid which can increase metabolism but it's since corrected itself, as does happen on occasion. Other than that, they couldn't find anything wrong with me and I did bring my weight up with them. I'm not technically underweight so I guess I'm okay, but still. I was pretty underweight as a teenager though so it might be the aftereffects of that. Honestly, I was so thin that when they tried to take my blood pressure, the thing fell off my arm! People would always tell me I was very skinny but I didn't notice the change until I gained weight. Idk how thin I was but given that I slept for about fourteen hours a day, I was probably around a stone under. I wasn't anorexic but it still wasn't ideal.
